QotD: Rise & Shine!

Usually. This morning, I actually had to consciously wake myself up from my dream, because I was hiding in a closet and a Predator was about to kill me. I have lots of dreams that are wierd like that, but in every single one, when it gets hopeless, I realize that it's just a dream, and I wake myself.

Just once, I'd like to kill that guy, though...

I read a book that if you can consciously realize you're in a dream, it gives you power to control it, like give yourself magical powers or make yourself big enough to step on the Predator or whatnot. Then after you've vanquished them, you're supposed to ask the Predator for a gift, something to learn more about yourself.

I've only been able to do it once but it was very cool. I was able to illuminate the hallway instead of walking down it in the dark to something scary. I asked for a gift but now I can't remember what it was.

SOMETIMES I can dream lucidly, where I take control. It's not often, and it's not easy, because realizing that I'm just in a dream makes me aware of stimuli from the waking world, IE the pillow and sheets, and sometimes I'll just wake myself up by realizing it's a dream. I usually just let myself fly, or try and listen to music (because it sounds completely different in my dreams).

That's kind of cool. I wonder what music sounds like in my dreams? I should pay more attention.

AND they say you only dream in black and white but I could swear mine are in colour. That's not unusual, right? And supposedly you're not able to read in your dreams but ... well, that one I can't say as definitively but I could swear I was reading once.

Mine are definitely in color, with full sound, characters, and commercials.

I'm not kidding about the commercials, either. I can taste and smell and read and all that in my dreams. Part of me thinks that's all linked to my seizures.
Do you find your dreams to be more vivid right before or after you have a seizure?
My dreams usually suck right BEFORE a seizure, because my seizures are triggered by lack of sleep. After that I spend a lot of time going to bed early to get my sleep on.
[this is good]
LOL...all I can say is "ditto" ! :p
