Today, I realized how much I missed Emily's old series "Death Is Not An Option." I realized this while listening to an old podcast, Adam and Joe on BBC 6 Music, where they interviewed Roger Moore and thought, "Damn, I still would."
... look, I never said my brain made sense.
So, the idea of this is: Which James Bond actor would you rather? (yes, dangling sentence. I'm trying to be a little more polite. If you're not sure what you're supposed to be rathering, then you're probably at the wrong blog.) I think the most popular answers will be either Sean Connery or Daniel Craig but you need to give me a good reason. Otherwise, I'll be here in my home mocking you in my head.
... okay, not really but give me SOMETHING.
The Rules: You can only pick one. ONE. UNO. Yi ge. One. And you have to give a reason. Hell, if you're feeling creative, give me a scenario or whatever you'd like in addition.
Now, let's play:
Sean Connery:
Roger Moore:
Timothy Dalton:
Pierce Brosnan:
Daniel Craig:
And the forgotten James Bond, George Lazenby:
I've already said I'd most rather with Roger Moore. I just find him very gentlemanly and courteous and charming.
... I know, those are really sexy terms, right? ::rolls eyes at self::
I even preferred him in the 80s when I was 10 but it wasn't until I was much older when I found out he was very active with UNICEF and has contributed much to the organization and to the children being helped by them. Then I heard him on the podcast and he is the embodiment of kindness and gentlemanliness. He was good-humoured, and just willing to take whatever came from the star struck djs, even their normal ridiculousness that I love.
To me, he just embodies my belief for why politeness and manners are important: it's not to set you apart from others but to make others comfortable around you; to bring you closer to those surrounding you.
Your turn. Who would you rather?
